This restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a Vietnamese-European fusion menu that is both sophisticated and delicious. The dishes are creative and presented beautifully, showcasing a great balance of flavors. The service is attentive and hospitable, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The pork belly, spring rolls, and aubergine dishes are highly recommended, along with the Lemongrass Glazed Duck Breast and Mama Ly's Pork Shrimp Imperial Rolls. The restaurant's ambiance is welcoming and perfect for sharing food with friends. The wine list is also impressive, making it a must-visit spot for foodies in the area.

We shared 3 small plates and 1 large plate. We started with the Chili Cucumbers followed by the Fish Sauce Caramel Brussel Sprouts and Sichuan Mouth Numbing Fried Chicken. SO delicious! We also shared the Lemongrass Glazed Duck Breast I don't usually order duck but I knew it would be tasty. Everything was amazing and we had room for dessert. We had the Condensed Milk Panna Cotta best dessert I have ever had! The cock... View all feedback.
What Jayro De Jesús Gómez López dislikes about Foreign Concept:
Disappointing experience at this restaurant. Upon arriving, we were left waiting for 5 minutes before being seated, despite the lack of crowds. Finally seated, we waited even longer for water. When the server arrived, I asked for a recommendation on a dish without beef or pork, only to be met with a list of all such options instead of an actual recommendation. This was my second visit with subpar service, making me question if the food is worth the trouble.

Amazing!!!! The food and customer service exceptional. I cannot wait to go back to eat there again.
The staff at this restaurant is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is wonderful! I savored every bite and found the dishes perfect for sharing with friends. The charcuterie board is unique, and I particularly loved the variety of side pickles, especially the garlic and garlic scapes.
My husband and I tried the Signature Big Taste lunch at Foreign Concept today. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchen and staff's willingness to accommodate changes to the set menu to cater to my pregnancy, despite being very busy. They even provided a non-alcoholic drink option instead of the wine pairings. It was our first time at Foreign Concept and we were impressed by the atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. We will definitely be returning!

This place is pure deliciousness and indulgence! If you haven't eaten here and have a celebration or even need a great date night place restaurant you should consider this restaurant! The food is brilliant and the service and room is really great too! Go eat at this restaurant!! I really love it here!
I found the food was good. However the service was extremely rushed which ruined the experience for me. When I go out for dinner to an establishment like Foreign Concept, the ambiance, taking my time to enjoy dinner, and enjoying conversation is all a part of the experience for me. Our server over served. A good server knows how to find the sweet spot in allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy their dinner while also offering great service. Our conversation was interrupted on multiple occasions, dishes were cleared in the middle of the table while in the process of eating, plates were cleared and my drink taken away when I wasn’t even finished them. Our main dish ended up being cold because it was brought out so quickly while still eating our appetizers. I probably should have said something, but that is not my style. I would like to give this place another shot and hope this was just a server issue. But she ruined the experience for me.
I visited here to grab food before attending Mozart's Requiem on May 14 by the marvellous Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and Karl Hirzer. And I am glad that I made this decision.Food tasted great, and I was happy to say I enjoyed something i wouldn't experience otherwise. I usually ask the server what food I should get if I want to experience something that's unique to this restaurant. I also ask which appetizer goes along with whatever food I chose to go with. The server, Jeremy, was knowledgeable, and answered every question I had with great care. Also, I had a chance to overhear the conversation between Jeremy and the table next to me who had dietary restrictions (allergies). Jeremy was super-attentive, cautious, and patient enough to check everything with the kitchen to ensure they get the best experience there. I could tell that this restaurant goes above and beyond in terms of service.I specifically asked the server his name because I wanted to say positive things about my experience. If I am visiting Calgary again (hopefully for another marvellous concert by the Calgary Philharmonic), I would not hesitate to visit here again!
Really great food, the composable dishes like the Lemongrass Glazed Duck Breast are super good all the food is interesting, and very tasty.Mama Ly's Pork Shrimp Imperial Rolls were awesome (and really filling), next time we were told to try the Fish Sauce Caramel Brussels Sprouts with rice.
We had one of the best dining experiences of our lives tonight at Foreign Concept! The papaya salad was sweet and delicious with its wonderful dried satay. The duck dish was just perfect and very filling, and the calamari with green curry was creative and perfectly salted to my taste. Oh and the lemon curd beignet was to die for ! Also contrary to another review I read, we felt portions were generous. What really put the meal over the top was the very kind and genuine attention from Lanny who took care of us. Another highlight of the night we appear to have by coincidence been sat next to the owner of the restaurant Duncan Ly!

Every dish we had had so much flair. They are unique. Favourite court highlights: The sliders were hearty and melted in your mouth. The Siu mai should die. The duck with Crêpes was another takeover of Beijing Ente. The milk baos were light, not excessively sweet and felt like small pillows in the mouth. Service was exceptional and the drinks were also delicious! I would highly recommend going here. Cheers.
Our first time to eat here – especially Valentine's Day celebration – and one of the few restaurants that we think live on their hype (yes, he and I have both agreed). Kudos to our attentive server to make the experience pleasant. 1. Green Mango and Papaya Salad: A Must! All aromas from acid mango, refreshing basil, on the texture of beef (usually chicken saddle jeerky). 2. Lemon grass glazed duck chest duck confit with “crepe”. The Asian influence and French technology work in harmony when biting into the self-prepared pack. Omg, the perfectly baked duck breast, so delicate juicy
My husband and I, walk in for dinner for the first time. This place is great! The atmosphere is chill and cool the staff is extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Excellent food. We're definitely heading back.
Amazing food. I really enjoyed the dishes we ordered. They are creative and delicious. Definitely my favourite Asian fusion restaurant
