What Southsal57 doesn't like about The Neptune:
I love nothing more than a tasting menu and was very excited to sample this one and at £100 maybe my expectations were too high hoping each course would have the Wow factor , and most did , but not all . The pre desert and desert were disappointing , the pre dessert was far too similar in flavour and texture to the actual dessert and neither were particularly attractively presented unlike some of the other courses .... 6 of us had a really lovely evening here. Went for the tasting menu which was superb. Every dish was explained by the chef in great detail and it was all delicious. Not at all stuffy and pompous so if you're looking for condescending waiters... View all feedback.
