Grab -n- Geaux Smokehouse

Wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star after today.. this was always OUR FAVORITE PLACE to stop on the way home (live over an hour away), after today i’ll never step foot back in there after the service I received today.. 3 workers plus a manager, only MY FAMILY in the store we had to wait for brisket to be cut after waiting a good 5 minutes with ALL 3 EMPLOYEES just staring at us like we were an inconvenience to them! then I accidentally spilled something on the floor, they did not even try to help or even tell me where the trash can was to throw the napkins away.. just rude if you ask me!

Best brisket and service ever. Perfect natural flavor that needed no sauce. You should definitely go here if you have the chance. I would even consider going out of your way for it.

First and foremost the food is great. The boudin balls are spicy and good portion for the price. Plenty of options to choose from and the barbecue is great. Customer service wise is not so great, they rush you when you're looking at what to buy. Both of the foreign women to be specific. The young girl that works there always has an attitude when I come in, she never greets says hello good bye or thank you. She rarely tell you anything after you've purchased your items and doesn't offer a receipt. Like mentioned earlier if you take to long looking at items and making your decision she will watch you though out the store. When you got to check out she won't say anything at all not even at the end of your purchase. Beside that one worker the store has great potential.

The Grab-N-Geaux located on 7080 Gulf Hwy, needs to do a much better job in screening customers purchasing alcohol. On numerous occasions, they sold alcohol to someone who is already intoxicated, violating Louisiana Statutes RS 26:90 and RS 26-286. This past Wednesday, April 12th at approx. 2:00 pm, I personally stopped a sell from happening, to a woman who could barely talk, and was obviously far exceeding the legal limit. I have been unable to make contact with someone in store management or franchise ownership, to come to a reasonable solution. The next time this happens, this store and it's employees will be reported to the state for criminal activity, followed by a civil suit, especially if the intoxicated person making the purchase of more alcohol, is involved in an accident.I am by no means trying to make a public stink from this review, but this is a forced and last resort to gain attention to this issue. Please correct this problem before someone gets killed.
