Good food, good service with friendly staff decor was pleasant, but the place seemed a little cold and soulless. But would, will, return.

This charming hotel is in a peaceful location in the old part of Calasparra close to the church. Very clean and modern inside with helpful staff. Breakfast Spanish style) is included in the very economical price. An ideal place for a short break.

I stayed at this hotel in Calasparra because I could not find a suitable hotel in Caravaca de la Cruz due to Christmas overbooking. Horrible Choice! Calasparra is a ho-hum, bland town. While Hotel Constitucion is in the old town center, negotiating a rental car through the narrow, haphazard one way streets of Caladparra old town was truly hazardous. While the hotel looked decent in the online photos, it's walls are so thin that conversations from the room above my room was wholly audible. Breakfast was plain consisting only of a cup of coffee, sweetened orange juice, and a small selection of plastic-packaged, factory- made pastries. Customer service was overbearing since the reception staff debited my bill in US dollars instead of euros, without even asking for my choice. To my detriment, this act upped my bill by 2%, which I discovered after I left the hotel. I don't wish the same bad experience on others, so beware.

Four people for a menu del dia at €10 per head included three courses, a drink (excludes spirits) coffee. To start with we selected the octopus with good sized prawns (extremely good), entremeses (mixed Spanish cold meats) and for the main course, grilled swordfish (large portion very well cooked by Pedro, the chef) and slowly braised veal in a sauce. The puddings were the least interesting dishes but quite acceptable. Two friendly waitresses looked after us well. Would we go there again, definitely.
