Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience at the Place du Faubourg restaurant/pizzeria, despite its lovely setting overlooking the Lot River and the... read more Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience at the Place du Faubourg restaurant/pizzeria, despite its lovely setting overlooking the Lot River and the very friendly staff. The biggest problem was the interminable wait (over an hour between our arrival and the first courses being served , as well as the unavailability of many ingredients on the menu, forcing us to change our choices. There were also mistakes with our orders when they finally arrived. Even though we were told the chef was new and the owner offered a small gesture of goodwill for the wait and the errors, and despite the friendly service, our overall impression remains rather mixed, and we probably won't be returning. (And regarding the pizzas: the crust was a bit thin, and the toppings were excessive. Don't eat into your profit margin by overloading them!
