Villa Rica Pollos a la Brasa

Somewhat like a trattoria, somewhat like a parilla, this is a seriously good eatery with excellent service and a good range of choices from a very efficient and not overlarge menu. What it does is written on the menu and the dishes we got from the parilla menu were very good indeed. They were not overpriced. The dishes we eat from the Italian section of the menu were superb and bursting with flavour. The house salad from the menu was brilliant, well balanced and dressed with an elegant mixture of toasted sesame oil and balsamic ... really good, especially the light dusting of sesame seeds. This place is good ... if you find youself in Cajamarca do make a point of going out to Los Banos del Inca and eating here. Serves cold beer, wines, including a drinkable selection of dry reds as well as the usual range of Peruvian soft drinks.It also has good service and a pleanant and helpful staff. Whilst not world class the place is very good and excellent value for money without being cheap eats. A superb mid-range choice.
