Ganbaranba in Cairns is a Japanese noodle shop that has been getting a lot of buzz lately. While some patrons were disappointed with their ramen and gyoza, others found the dishes to be fresh and delicious. The restaurant is owned and run by Japanese staff, giving it an authentic touch. The small space tends to get crowded, but the quick service makes it worth the wait. The menu is straightforward, the staff is efficient and polite, and the food is top-notch. With a mix of positive and negative reviews, Ganbaranba seems to be a hit or miss, but worth a visit for those craving a traditional Japanese meal experience.

Was RSD at Ganbaranba a mag?
My favourite place to eat in Cairns. Very friendly, helpful staff. Can make the vege noodle dishes vegan by removing egg and jelly. The premium veg is a larger bowl than the standard veg. The broth is delicious my body always feels good afterwards. Add some homemade chilli paste for an extra kick. View all feedback.

What Christos Westphal dislikes about Ganbaranba:
Wanted to see what the hype was about, since there were a few people queuing to get in. Was a little disappointed. The ramen was not even close to what was served in Japan. It is more like the ramen from a 2 minute noodle packet. Had to ask the waiter twice to take our order, then only to be rushed out after our meal. The goyzas tasted pre-packaged frozen stuff you get at your local Asian supermarket. View all feedback.

Booked on an online site for travel deals and pleasantly surprised.Very small reception area but both girls were efficient and pleasant.Room was great with plenty of space , seperate bedroom and living area and kitchen, full size fridge, washing machine and nice size bathroom.Coffee machine was great thought but not much good for me without at least a small carton of milk in fridge.Don't get it presenting a lovely room and can't spend another $1.00 for something as simple as a bit of milk.Enter to lift well down an outside lane which was a bit unexpected. However, close to vic market, not far to walk to Southern Cross station and mid city.Good value and worth a visit...but please some milk.

Saw this place while we were grabbing coffee - good chunk of the customers were Japanese so we knew it was going to be good! Wow the food was so tasty, I could have eaten about a million of the gyozas. Definitely a good place for a casual lunch or dinner.

I'm a local and have been coming here for years. When we can't be bothered to cook, are in town catching a movie or a show, we tend to eat here as it's super cheap, amazingly delicious and always friendly fast service. The ramen is delicious, I always get the Ikeman and highly recommend it. My vegan boyfriend loves the deluxe veg (minus the egg) which comes with the yummiest little fluffy pillows of tofu.

I tried a new dish yesterday Chin-den. It was full of vegetables with a light soup base. Great healthy dish.
