Having spent time in Hong Kong and sampled dumplings prepared by local people, I like to think I know what to expect when I go for Yum Cha / Dim Sum (Why they c... read more Having spent time in Hong Kong and sampled dumplings prepared by local people, I like to think I know what to expect when I go for Yum Cha / Dim Sum (Why they call it Dim Sim here beats me...!).The food was tasty, that's for sure, but it was missing something that to this day I still can't put my finger on. Maybe the dumplings lacked in ginger or maybe the home made chilli sauce didn't taste as expected...I think it's a fair price to ask for this type of food especially in Cairns. I don't know of any other places I could recommend you go to get fresh hand made dumplings in this area, but I'd urge you to ask the staff which dumplings have the most flavour - asking for pork and cabbage may have been my faux pas...

My family enjoye... read more The setting is very nice and modern. Went there at lunch time on Friday, and it wasn't busy at at all (I think it's because this place is new). My family enjoyed the meals very much, we ordered around 6 dishes between the three of us. Everything was tasty and the produce was good quality (I don't think they use MSG here). The only thing I could fault was the noodles in my beef noodle soup, which wasn't cooked enough. But the broth itself was tasty, and it had big tender chunks of beef. They also have a complimentary 'Homemade chili sauce' to eat with your meal, sitting on every table which is really nice. finished off the meal by trying their lemongrass & chili ice cream and their ginger ice-cream, very nice. Will be back.

Looks like a professional set up but on closer inspection the people running the show prob didn't set it up. The only positive I can find is that they are new , hopefully they find there feet.

This is the best dumpling experience I've ever had. I highly recommend this place to everyone. We were thrilled to discover a new dumpling spot in Cairns and were not let down when we finally visited last night. The soup was fantastic, just like Mom used to make, and the beancurd rolls were the best I've ever had. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for the delicious meal and the adorable dumpling key rings. XXX

We had an awesome mix of boiled, steamed and pan fried. The cuttlefish tentacle special was also amazing. Especially in their homemade soy and chilli sauces. Would certainly recommend.
