I have been disappointed by Japanese restaurants in Sydney that serve Korean Japanese dishes, lacking in authentic flavor. As someone with a Northern Asian background, I can discern between real Japanese food and Korean imitations. The food at this restaurant reminded me of dishes I've had in Japan, not at a Japanese restaurant in Korea. It was delicious. I wish I had discovered this restaurant sooner in my trip, but I am grateful I got to try their food before leaving Cairns. The pork with egg dish recommended by the chef was perfect. If I ever return to Cairns, this will be my go-to spot. The staff is also very friendly.
