Authentic japanese taste in a budget friendly price. I'm not sure how authentic the ingredients that were used to create the dishes are but evrything we ordered tasted good. The gyoza has the right crispness and the filling is tasty. The club sandwich was very good also as well as the makis. Overall, everything that we tried tasted great and this is a place worth coming back for. View all feedback.

What Ebba Gibson dislikes about Cafe Dozo:
Honestly disappointed with the food quality. It's not even remotely close to Japanese food. Maybe a Filipinized Japanese restaurant but definitely not worthy to be called a Japanese restaurant. Even their sashimi was bought pre-packed. View all feedback.

I only go here when I'm really really desperate for "Japanese" food but don't have the car to go that far. The place needs more cleaning and housekeeping. The plates smell like they've been washed with laundry bar detergent. Their potato balls are their saving grace and that's not even Japanese food. All their ramen taste the same. Don't want to give a bad review but don't want anyone getting mislead or anything.

WE GOT FOOD POISONING. The service was lazy and the place was empty considering we went on a Friday afternoon. Their "potato balls" are croquettes with fillings, their miso soup was just hot water with crumbs and no flavour, the tonkatsu is worse quality than Tokyo Tokyo, tougher, oilier, and thinner cuts of meat. The rice was clearly not Japanese rice or even good quality. The shredded vegetables tasted like styro, so I spat them out thinking it wasn't edible, but no, they came with mayonnaise. The mixed katsu was just as bad with all the weird bits and pieces being unidentifiable under the breading. We didn't even try the sashimi or sushi anymore because of how bad the first few dishes had looked!

If you crave for Sashimi but is on a tight budget, one order of their mixed Sashimi will surely satisfy your craving. The Platter only costs as much...
