What Natalia S doesn't like about Miss Edith's:
Beware of the overpriced food! For example, the normal price of cevice in Cahuita is about 4000 colones, but at Miss Edith it is 8000 colones, no less. The portions are small and the taste is nothing special. I am giving 2 start instead of one just because the service was fast. View all feedback.
Harlem World, NYC here..! I've been eating at Miss Ediths since 2005. Get yer fish out the ocean in the back! If you looking for fast, convenience, and all that other nonsense, I suggest you go to the Pacific side.... get out of town! Other wise...just kick back and enjoy a timeless place. Remember...PEPPER HOT!

Since I’ve been here in Cahuita I have been eating here many times and I love her food . Since her food is authentic it might be more spicy then we are use to so at the time of order let them know how spicy you want your food .
This is the best classical cuisine in this area of Jamaican Costa Rica; it’s not a new restaurant, it’s not a fast restaurant, but it is the most real restaurant we found here. Often as we travel the world we look for kitchens cuisine made by the local family who know the local food, before tourism demanded change. Have the Pina Colada, Have the house chicken, arrive early before they get rushed, Please be kind patient because the woman who’s name is on the door is making her way to the kitchen to make your food as you ask for it. Trust the servers, they are trying to help you make the best choices because they know what is best that day. The location is paradise, unlike most of the new temporary spots in Cahuita, Miss Edith has been here is in no rush to go anywhere. Slow down, eat well.
We ate here last year and was sad to see it temporarily closed. The food is great flavorful with lots of menu options. Friendly service and a pleasant spot to eat!
