After returning from a hike through the national park, I decided to stop at this restaurant. I was seated at a wonderful table right by the beach and Miguel promptly presented me with menus. He was very helpful in explaining the menu and even encouraged me when I attempted to speak Spanish (despite my limited skills). The mint lemonade was refreshing and not overly sweet, and the rice and chicken dish was delicious.... View all feedback.
What Marco Tamayo doesn't like about Bar Restaurant Cahuita National Park:
that is my second ever bad review. I don't want to leave her unless I'm really disgusting. I don't go to my mind to serve or anything else. I'm just gonna say what I have so they can decide to go here or not. I ordered a vegetarian burrito. I have a package with salad and cauliflower. that's it. no bones, no tears, no paprika, no wobble, no mushrooms. we have said the waitress, we would not pay (the equivalent) of 7... Waited an hour on a plate of half cooked frits. the rest of the food was simply tasteless. this place does not earn their 43 of 49 restaurants ranking, it should be much worse.

I'm just gonna say what I have so they can decide to go here or not. I ordered a vegetarian burrito. I have a package with salad and cauliflower. that's it. no bones, no tears, no paprika, no wobble, no mushrooms. we have said the waitress, we would not pay (the equivalent) of 7 € for it. they argued first. then ignored us. in fairness to them they took it at the end of the bill from which we were happy. but then they are spoiled with 13% tax and 10% service fee. So..anyway we would recommend finding something else for eating. but it is a beautiful location for a drink after the walk.
Amazing location to sit and eat fun while they immerse their feet in the sand. good food, terrible service. we ate at several places in cahuita and this suffers from similar problems of bad service: very slow, very cold and unfriendly host. we ate here...since and had great Mexican cuisine, but the service was extremely slow and the host not very friendly. not sure why the cahuita area has so bad service, but every single place we went had the same problem. are the people here cold compared to foreigners? even those who speak Spanish?

The atmosphere was perfect for people-watching and admiring the sea, and Miguel's service was excellent. I definitely plan on returning before I leave Cahuita.
After completing a long hike through the National Park, we decided to stop at this restaurant for a drink, and we were pleasantly surprised! The nachos were delicious as well, but the service could have been improved. When customers are thirsty, it's important to keep their drinks refilled. We had to get up and request more drinks ourselves.
