We went specifically for the grocery store section rather than the restaurant section (Sardissimo is divided in two--a casual restaurant on the left with a small refrigerated section, and non-perishable food, alcohol, toiletries, crafts, and some clothing/accessories on the right) to stock up on a few gifts before leaving. The prices are as one might expect: expensive compared to grocery stores, but with the focus on local producers, and aimed at tourists, this is fine. We picked up some olive oil (and I can confirm it's gorgeous--we've already opened a tin), which you'll find is marked with both the production and expiry date. While those travelling may be tempted by the glass bottles, stick to the tins; they're easier to transport, and they really ensure the oil keeps. With high-quality extra-virgin olive oil, it should be finished within a year of production, so do enjoy it. We also got some jams/conserves, including orange marmalade (ubiquitous with cheese and so good), prickly pear, and pompano. There were some beautiful home goods (embroidered pillow cases, woven tablecloths, baskets, etc) as well as saffron and lots of different apertivos. As a bonus, they stay open midday, even in the winter, so worth a stop if you're looking for somewhere to stick your nose when everything else is shuttered until the evening.
Beautiful store located right in the heart of the Marina. Been here couple of times already, felt in love with their Seadas . Highly recommended.
An excellent shop. I recommend it warmly. Also the seller are very friendly and helpful. If I could I would come from Germany to Cagliari only to go to this shop…
Local liquors, pasta, olive oil, cheese, souvenirs and more. Lovely friendly staff and excellent amaretti biscuits!
