I was even recommended this restaurant which when I walked in had a lot of atmosphere. After that it all went downhill from there. It took almost 30 mins to get a bread basket (which you pay for here! to accompany my glass of white wine as they apparently don’t even have any olives. I waited for even longer to get my starter of bland, going dry meatballs followed by a porkbelly dish which tasted OK but was not sufficiently heated through or had enough other bits on the plate. For me a clear NO for a repeat dinner in a place of anyway such great food culture.
Fantastic meal here. The octopus was perhaps the most flavorful I have ever had. The hare ragou was also very good. For a main I had suckling goat (or lamb, can’t remember which it was) and it was very flavorful. My wife had fish which she said was cooked perfectly and was very good. My daughter had the ox meatballs and I tried a few, and they were also very good. We had the panacota and seadas both of which were great.
A quaint and welcoming place on two levels. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is good: we particularly enjoyed the artichoke carpaccio with bottarga, the red ox meatballs, and the culurgiones with fiore sardo cream (though a bit complicated at dinner). We expected more from the fregola pasta. Good local wine list, excellent the Amaro Doliense with 13 herbs. Very friendly waitress! Average price.
Excellent food with local products, dishes presented and prepared in a very interesting way. Excellent service, helpful, professional, and ready to offer excellent recommendations on dishes and food. Excellent value for money. Truly a great restaurant for a wonderful memory of Sardinia.
