I don't often write bad reviews, but having reflected for 24 hours, need to alert people to how bland the food is from here. Chicken pakoras that had no spice o... read more I don't often write bad reviews, but having reflected for 24 hours, need to alert people to how bland the food is from here. Chicken pakoras that had no spice or flavour, a tasteless prawn puri, and a range of curries that mainly just tasted of watery tomato puree. All perfectly edible, but completely tasteless and not BIR curries. Just use some spices and aromatics! Really .. if you like BIR .. do not order from here .. £80 takeaway for 6 .. we were mugged!

Went here with friends recently though, and unfortunate... read more I used to go here all the time as the restaurant is nice and the meal deals they do are excellent value. Went here with friends recently though, and unfortunately the food was quite bland in most the meals we tried. The meal deals are still on and again, these can't be beaten on value, but we did find that the customer service has gone down hill. Surly waiter, and even the guy I thought was the manager seemed to be in a mood. I've been here lots of times in the past and things were much better. I can only think that maybe the waiters are getting fed up of customers ordering off the cheaper menus, but that's not the customer's fault if the offers are on? Come on Spice Tree, please don't go down hill, you've been consistently good before, just need to work on improving the flavour a little and being a bit friendlier to the customers.

All the food was wonderful,... read more Visited the Spice Tree recently and my husband and I both had the 4 course meal. Great choice of starters and main course/sundries. All the food was wonderful, very tasty and well presented. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, with great service. Really enjoyed our evening. Thank you very much we will be returning very soon
