Nags Head Inn

Nags Head Inn
4.1 / 5 (83 reviews)

Description

The Nags Head serves as a traditional inn that boasts a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. While many patrons rave about their outstanding Sunday lunch—especially the tender roast beef and delicious homemade gravy—others encounter inconsistencies, including sticky tables and subpar dishes. Despite some criticisms regarding hospitality and room accommodations, the restaurant offers good value for large groups and festive gatherings. A robust menu, complemented by local beers, enhances the dining experience, making The Nags Head a recommended spot for hearty fare, though diners should temper expectations regarding service and room quality.

I can't wait for this restaurant to open! The food is delicious, plentiful, reasonably priced, and piping hot.

We enjoyed two dinners at this popular inn during our stay. Solid hearty food, excellent service. The local Mantle beer is phenomenal and a great addition to the meal. Some of the food quality was a little uneven but certainly a place to be recommended.

A very cosy feel, a traditional pub, very welcoming and the staff are very accommodating and friendly. The Sunday Lunch was so good and the beef very tender and good selection of vegetables. We have been to many places for a sunday Lunch and we count this as one of our favourites. Highly recommend

I had Sunday lunch at this restaurant yesterday and it was outstanding. The roast beef was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with Yorkshire pudding, roast and boiled potatoes, and a selection of 6 vegetables including parsnips, green beans, sprouts, peas, carrots, and broccoli. The homemade gravy was delicious. All of this for only £8.99. You also have the option to add a starter or dessert for just £2 each. The Nags did an excellent job.
