First of all the location and the view is amazing, however the service was a bit chaotic, but the waiters were at least trying to do their best. On the other hand the food was totally disappointing, especially if you look at what you get for your money….we ordered a pizza and squids. The pizza is the frozen one you would normally get in a supermarket for 80 cents. The squid was a super mini portion without any side dishes or even sauce…and that’s for 16eu. I get it that you pay for the location, but this level of quality is simply ridiculous.
Avoid, this is a tourist trap Pinacolada milkshake had no sugar, Fried anchovies upset my husbands tummy Fish was underwhelming I feel bad for wasting money here this place is not passionate about their food
Our dinner at Bongo on January 1st was, quite frankly, a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. We arrived around 3:00 pm, a perfectly normal dining hour in Spain. Upon arrival, the waiter immediately warned us that the kitchen would be closing soon and that we needed to order quickly. We replied that this was not an issue. Unfortunately, what followed was completely inconsistent with that sense of urgency. We first waited 15 minutes just to receive the menus. Already puzzling, given the alleged time pressure. Then another 15 minutes passed before the waiter came back to take our order. Once the order was placed, we waited an entire hour with no food, no explanation, and no communication. After one hour, we went to speak to the waiter ourselves. He told us the food was coming and offered a half-hearted apology. Fifteen minutes later—after a total wait of 1 hour and 15 minutes—he returned to inform us that 3 of the 8 dishes we had ordered (we were 8 adults) were no longer available. We were asked to choose alternatives and then waited yet another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally did, the quality was extremely poor. The pork entrecôtes were not properly cooked, merely roasted. When we pointed this out, the waiter reacted with complete indifference. No apology, no solution, no concern. The service throughout was not only slow but openly rude. The staff argued with each other in front of customers. At one point, the waiter even told us that if we wanted to be served faster, we should go and fish the fish ourselves. An astonishing remark. Between the endless waiting, the contemptuous attitude, the mediocre food, and the chaotic atmosphere, this was an experience well below any acceptable standard. A textbook tourist trap, and one to avoid at all costs. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
