We were having lunch that day and therefore witnessed the whole scene (we were also with children). Dropping cutlery with a child can happen to anyone. However, repeatedly leaving it on the floor without picking it up along with the bread and basket, taking cutlery from other tables, and then being disrespectful to a waitress—who was pregnant, no less—by explaining that it wasn 't your responsibility to pick it up, but hers, while touching her and speaking to her in that manner in front of the entire room… that 's another story. Despite all this, she remained calm, polite, and professional from beginning to end, which surely explains why several customers applauded you as you left PS: Having money unfortunately doesn 't give you carte blanche.
