What Grits71 dislikes about Mariscos La Palmita:
I don’t like writing bad reviews, but my 26 year old daughter got bad food poisoning from the Imperial Shrimp. Was sick for two days. She thought they tasted “off” but trusted that they wouldn’t make her sick. Just be wary if you go there. View all feedback.

Loved everything!!! The seafood was so fresh. Ordered the clam ceviche and oyster ceviche. The clam was my favorite dish here. It was just raw clam that you squirt lime on and it’s so fresh that it starts squiggling. The oyster ceviche is just raw oysters and they’re a little salty because where the oysters were picked but it was also very fresh!! We also had the fish ceviche, soft shell crab, the lobster, and the grilled octopus. They were all good but the soft shell crab was the groups favorite out of the cooked food. Lobster and octopus were grilled perfectly. For drinks we had the limonada, orange agua, and piña agua. I’d skip the limonada personally I don’t like sour-sweet drinks but the other two were very good. The pineapple was pineapple mint which was a good mix. 10/10 would put this in my Cabo guide for friends and family when they visit.
Popular with locals, very much a mom and pop place We were warned by the other reviews about some larger portions. Shrimp ceviche was very good, as was the coconut shrimp. Both needed garlic, lol, but we really like garlic. So, next trip. we'll try the garlic shrimp. Smelled amazing, no vampire problems here. Beer is cheap, and despite other reviews, my wife loved her mango margarita
What an unexpected treat! One block off a main road, you will find this obscure venue that you won't want to miss. It took asking around more than once for directions, but well worth it. It couldn't have had a more simple and rustic ambiance, and our kind waiter could not have been more patient and considerate to every question asked. The place was pleasantly clean, and what we got for the price, was extraordinary. We ordered the clam appetizer. Oh my! you would notice right away that each of those shells had more clams in them, than what each one would naturally have had when originally opened. All fresh and delicious. And for an entree, we ordered their shrimp and grilled octopus rice dish cooked in butter with slices of avocados on top. Yummy!! It's too bad we were only in Cabo for a short while during a cruise, otherwise that would have been our regular place to eat.
Based on the online reviews, we stopped by Mariscos La Palmita on a recent visit to the marina area in Cabo San Lucas. I must say, the online reviews were on point. From start to finish, a 5-star experience! The complimentary chips and salsa were very good, the chips from the bag on the counter were fresh and light, the salsa was super fresh and had a nice heat. We decided to try the bartender 's Cadillac Margaritas, and were not disappointed. Perfectly balanced, not to sweet, and plenty of bang for the buck! We order the ceviche clams appetizer... the monster plate of clams were crazy fresh; in fact, so fresh, that when we squeezed the fresh lime on the clams they went crazy and danced on the plate ... delicious! For entrees we chose the pescado veracrusano and the garlic lobster, both were amazing. The fish dish was huge, a classic veracruzano sauce on seabass, that also included ample pieces of fresh octopus and shrimp. The garlic lobster included a handful of lobsters, expertly prepared and grilled with a fantastic garlic-butter sauce. The staff was awesome, Aurelio and Ernesto took great care of us. We were the lone touristas in the restaurant while we were there, and the constant flow of locals confirmed we had found a great spot. Higehly recommend Mariscos La Palmita when you 're in Cabo... off the beaten path, but worth every step you take getting there.
My wife and I visited this restaurant on our first day in Los Cabos. I did some research and found that the local people like this place and that its prices are reasonable. We ordered lobster, shrimp cocktail, and their unique fish, Cabeño. We were not disappointed. Each dish was fresh and made from scratch. The waiter was a bit distracted by the women 's tournament soccer match on TV but was very attentive and funny. I would love to live here and try each of their menu items.
