Was Anonym at The Igloo Roadhouse a mag?
Every January we do a day trip with our kids for the Buxton burger. Yes, I am more than happy to drive for yummy food. Don't be put off by the venue that's definitely past its best. But do sit outside to watch the world go by. The people are lovely & the burgers are fabulous. Sons had a schnitzel with the lot, a lamb souvlaki & I had the Buxton Burger. There's sonething to suit everyone. Though when they saw my burge... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about The Igloo Roadhouse:
Went here with my boyfriend, who has been going here since a child, who had fond memories of this place since last owners however upon return the service was extremely poor we were ripped off as manager charged us larges for half a bag of small chips and was very rude. Sad to say that we will not be returning to the once childhood favourite joint. View all feedback.

I visited this restaurant after a canoeing camp when I was 14 years old. Despite everyone raving about how good the burgers were, I decided to stick with the hotdog because that's all I was craving after all that canoeing. The camp lasted 3 or 4 days and was a lot of fun. I also had the opportunity to meet new people whom I didn't know before.

I was just passing through and decided to try the renowned 'Buxton Burger'. The quality of ingredients was impressive. I was actually quite satisfied after eating it, which is unusual for me after having a burger. I would definitely recommend trying it if you happen to be passing by.

This place has the best and biggest burger I have ever eaten. Never had I had to eat a burger with a knife and fork to finish it. Would recommend this place to everyone who loves a great burger!

Tucked away on the side of the road in Buxton is a little road house/general store that makes great hamburgers. The most eaten is the Buxton burger which is the lot doubled! They also make the Cathedral burger which is triple the lot!!!!!! They also serve other food like fish and chips but no steamed dim sims which is dissapointing

So you've read (or seen the mid day movies) about Buxton beauties. Big, voluptuous women with big hearts, kind natures and a willingness to make you do things you have never dreamed us. Welcome to the Igloo. Let us introduce you to the Buxton Burger! Fantastic country cooking, with a quirky over sized twist. Two beef patties, cheese, onion, lettuce, pineapple, tomato and sneaky sauce all lovingly housed between locally made dinner plate sized buns. What could possibly be wrong? Nothing. A few friendly tips- come hungry. This baby is perfect to finish off a weekend of hiking. Grab a handful of napkins. At least 6. Don't remove the stick. Even if your worried about or poking you in the eye, that's just another part of the experience. Hands on ladies! No knife and form needed, just your courage. Grab the burger with two hands and enjoy! See if you can beat the record of devouring this burger in under 2mins. We ll be impressed if you finish it!
