Although there wasn’t much food left when I got there, I still enjoyed a hearty breakfast. It included homeries, wheat toast, bacon, and sausage links, along with two eggs cooked to any style—I added a third egg à la carte, which I had cooked over easy. This restaurant is conveniently located near I-5 and has a lot of local historical significance, along with a great local flavor. It’s a genuine family-style restaurant! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re passing through; the locals love it, and so do I! The service was friendly and quick, the prices were very reasonable, and the food was definitely the highlight of my visit!
I was for the brisket. Let's say Texas will keep the crown forever when it comes to it. The brisket was moist and delicately well cooked with a slightly smoked taste. The beans were seasoned well and the potatoes were made from scratches, which a plus. Dinner was cold, but the service was good over everything.
Haven't been in 20 years decided to go again... Tortilla soup was great!!! Ordered a flat iron steak....tender and good asked for A-1 and never used it...had the shrimp add on, they were ok...place has been there over 20 years and hope they go another 20... got lots on the menu I would recommend giving them a try
I had one of the best meals I've ever had on the street. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by—you won’t regret it!
Ever been on I-5 and just been craving a really good food spot and don't know where to eat. Well this is that spot. Great barbecue spot in a location I only stopped at originally to fill my car. Staff is super helpful and friendly, food was delicious and prices were reasonable. The quality of meat is great and their seasonings were on point. Also they make a pretty mean barbecue sauce. This is definitely a spot if you're passing by I recommend going in and grabbing some food, you won't regret it.
Nestled conveniently near I-5, this family-style restaurant boasts a vibrant menu featuring mouthwatering BBQ and comfort food classics. Diners rave about the moist brisket, flavorful beans, and well-crafted sandwiches, while the inviting ambience and attentive staff enhance the experience. Patrons have enjoyed hearty breakfasts, delectable pulled pork, and signature dishes like the Plow Boy sandwich. Guests appreciate the restaurant's local charm and cleanliness, often returning for celebrations. With a blend of delicious food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder this eatery is beloved by locals and travelers alike.

On the way to Monterey we stopped here. Pleasanty surprised. All enjoyed their meals except my son that ordered the Plow boy. Otherwise everything is good. Barbecue sauce was excellent. Bought one to take ????

A friend of mine had been mentioning visiting this place for a long time, but unfortunately, we never made it before he passed away. Last Saturday, my wife, mother-in-law, and I finally went.
The nachos were incredible! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with BBQ sauce and pulled pork. I ordered half sweet tea and half unsweet tea, and it was a perfect combination. The staff was...
