Altdeutscher Hof - Butjadingen

We stayed there with reservation for Corona and summer holidays. But the food was so good that we had to return here on the following and last holiday. Steaks, fish dishes and grill plates are recommended. The operation is barely exaggerated by the French correctness and in the North German speed. The cook really put his craft on the plate. The terrace invites you to stay, only the furniture has come in the years. We will definitely come back and leave a note in the guestbook of our apartment.

Purely subjective experience of a larger travel group: Locality: Pleasant exterior, good, centrally located. Unfavourable, outdated furniture and slightly smelling rooms after cold smoke. Guest area controllable, but not small. No guests. Menu not up to date. Almost all spirits. The plant has not been used there for 15 years. Operation very competent in explaining div. Fish dishes, but at the same time very rough for the children. Although the restaurant was completely empty, the good lady seemed to be overwhelmed. After some inconvenience and due to their increasing feelings of us as "Patty", this last holiday evening ended with a loudly strong recklessness, when the only standing man in our group dared to criticize their behavior in a material and reasonable tone, but with clear words. The drinks just came to the table we didn't even have time to touch, but we should pay. We denied this and left the village as we were ducent as a 'asocial pack' choir? Are you even trying to fix my son as a pressure medium? The whole thing was very close to a call to the police on my side. So far, we are discussing the reasons for this never-experienced behaviour of standing gastronomy towards their guests.

Wir waren schon vor 4 Jahren einige male dort zum essen und waren auch jetzt wieder mehrfach da. Uns gefällt die sehr schöne Terrasse und auch das Essen ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. Am besten gefällt uns die Chefin des Hauses mit Ihrem norddeutschem Charme und Ihrem Service.

Bedienung war freundlich und schnell, die Suppe (Krabbensuppe) war leider überwürzt, sehr senflastig, der Hauptgang (Grillteller) war klassisch, schön war das Lammkotelett dabei, etwas Kräuterbutter hätte gut dazu gepasst, die gegrillte Tomate dazu war leider verkokelt. Der zweite Hauptgang (Fischerfrühstück) war eine richtig große Portion und geschmacklich auch gut, die Bratkartoffeln sind allerdings im Fett geschwommen. Etwas Update würde der Küche gut tun. Auch die Deko im Restaurant könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen.
