You're welcomed sincerely without obsequiousness, and efficiently placed at your table with something to drink in your hand before you can say Jack Robinson. Café Allure seems to me to have found the sweet spot between casual and fine dining. The decor is tasteful and welcoming without being precious, and there's a warmth to the whole experience that is tempered by the understanding that you don't need sucking up to. You can show up in a tux or flip-flops (or both) and not be made to feel out of place. The menu is carefully thought through; inventive without going over the top. Top quality ingredients prepared with obvious expertise make for a memorable and delicious meal without breaking the bank. A great restaurant doesn't tell you it's great, it shows you. And that's what Café Allure did for us. It's definitely going on my list of top recommendations.
