Cute and cosy little restaurant. BYO or alcohol provided. Had three dishes. Rice, chicken corma and lamb curry. I wanted another dish to add but the staff member said that it was enough for two people. Dishes were brought out and they were tiny! hardly any meat but more curry. I was still hungry. Staff were friendly but basic interaction with us. I would try them again but takeaway dishes next time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jewel:
Ordered takeaway while in Busselton on a weekend away, while friends were over from england. Both butter chicken curries were swimming in oil. The onion bhaji was forgotten from the order, and when it arrived it was soggy and dripping in oil. I did not pay to eat oil and rice. I did not expect such a low quality for the price I paid. We asked for a refund and the staff were RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE when told their food... View all feedback.
Closing down according to the lady who served us. Cheap bottles of wine as closing in days. Ordered a glass of red and think it was last weeks bottle still on the shelf. No cool drink and ended up with tap water in a...jug with blocks of ice. Ended up walking told them the wine was off and offered the for it after only sniffing and taking a sip and they took it. Trip adviser star advertising on the door but I wouldn’t bother.
Would not recommend this restaurant as the meal was very average and the service was terrible. I have had better meals at other Indian restaurants in Busselton.
Popped into Jewel of Busselton to get take out and immediately wished we were sitting down to enjoy the menu, friendly people and family atmosphere. Expect all the usual Indian favourites, great flavour, quick service and fair prices.
My husband went this evening to grab a take away, he waited more than for a mushroom byryani, malai kofta and a naan. He complained to the man on the reception and he went to check and never came back with a response, a...girl came with the food and when my husband got home we saw that they have sent the cheaper rice! This is not the first time that we had to wait forever for our take away, last time was more than had one table only at the restaurant, both times! We have decided give another chance but it seems that this was a very wrong decision!Wrong order (cheaper item), long wait, no respect for the costumer! We are never coming back. Very Very Very disappointed
I ordered pakoras, butter chicken, jal frezi, saag aloo, and parathas at this restaurant. The curries were decent overall, although the butter chicken was too sweet for my taste. The pakoras were the worst I've ever had - they arrived wrapped in tin foil and were soggy, sitting in a pool of grease when I opened them. The parathas were also dripping with grease and soggy, not the light and fluffy layers I had expected. It seems that they need to clean their oil and frying pans as all the fried food was practically inedible.
