This Wendy's always has the best food !! Whatever you buy is fresh and hot and very tasty !! But today I met a very kind and people oriented employee, she was at the drive up window and I had a question about the sauce on their new sandwich, so I didn't waste my money she recommended I taste the sauce before buying and I thought that was an amazing gesture ! I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but the new sandwich was AMAZING!!! Service: Takeaway
I have NEVER filed a complaint before in my LIFE. But this was just too unbelievable. I am in the process of evacuating my home for hurricane Milton. I pulled off at the Bushnell 75 exit and went to the Wendy’s just off the interstate. I ordered at the kiosk (Dave’s double combo with unsweetened iced tea and a 10-piece order of chicken nuggets) picked up my order at the counter. So far so good. I wasn’t given a drink so I asked the guy for my iced tea. He put a cup on the counter and walked away. I had to wait for him to come back so I could tell him that the iced tea was behind the counter and not self serve in the dining room. I got my tea (which was sour from sitting too long) and just went to my car to eat before hitting the road again. I ate a few bites of the outside of the burger and realized that the inside was cold that was when I also noticed that they had forgotten my nuggets. I got out of my car and went to the door and it was lockedat 9:30 pm! There was another guy waiting outside. He said he was the manager’s husband and they were getting gas next door. He just walked over to use the bathroom and found the doors locked as well! His wife was furious. She came over from the gas station and went in the back to open the door for us. She asked who locked the doors and oddly enough no one knew. She went and checked the other door across the dining room and it was locked too! STILL a mystery to all of the workers. The manager opened the doors and left but I still had a frozen burger. I explained and asked for a fresh burger and also explained that my nuggets weren’t in the bag. I wasn’t given a receipt so I had to repeat my order. The lady taking my order this time was wearing flip-flops. She asked what I had ordered and instead of looking back at the orders just keyed in whatever I said. The guy from before made the burger while “Flip-flop Chick” got the nuggets. She brought the burger and nuggets back and I asked her for a fresh order of fries because the first ones were at the bottom of the bag and cold. There were no fries made so I now had to wait for fresh fries. While I waited I took a couple bites of my new burger and, sure enough, it was cold in the middle!!! I called to the guy at the grill and let him know and he yelled at me saying that I stood right there and ate the whole thing (guess he couldn’t count to twobites). Suddenly there was this loud banging on the back door and window in the dining room. Everyone ignored it. Finally the flip-flop chick went and opened the door. And a guy and girl with headsets on came in and walked behind the counter. I have NO IDEA where the two of them had been all this time. The guy looked at me and yelled, “Didn’t you see me! Why didn’t you open the door? You know you saw me!” I explained to him that I was not the doorman and it was not my job to open doors for him. I was tired and needed to get back on the road so I just asked for my money back and everyone ignored me and disappeared to the back. The only guy who looked like he was even working was this kid at the drive-through. I explained to him that BOTH of my burgers had been cold and I just wanted my money back. He expressed disappointment in my experience and went to get the shift manager. She came up, asked me what I orderedagain I repeated my order and probably could have made up any order I wanted. She opened the drawer and gave me $18 and change back (even thought I had used my card at the kiosk). I just got out of there as fast as I could. Now I’m sitting in a McDonalds parking lot letting my burger and nuggets get cold because I needed to write out this complaint while it was still fresh in my mind. I’m sure you will agree that this situation was inexcusable on MANY levels. Several people working this shift need to be fired promptly. Their behavior was horrid, the service was horrible, and the way I was treated was pathetic. Again, I am NOT one to file complaints, but this whole experience was just too bizarre to not report.
