For an Asian who grew up with soups and porridge, the abalone porridge is nicely flavoured and goes well with the seaweed and anchovies side dish. Was a little sceptical about the sea urchin soup but turned out very much better than expected and we lapped it up with much gusto. Highly recommended if you want a light meal that reminds you of home and comfort food away from the usual Korean BBQ fare.

The “grill abalone” is more like steamed, but it’s really delicious, cooked just right.
