The restauar... read more For an ordinary Manchester restaurant JS is getting expensive £22.50 for a lamb dish with potatoes and no veg. A grilled steak the same with chips. The restauarant is no great shakes and when compared to restaurants in Edgware Middlesex I find the JS very overpriced. In Edgware you can have a 3 course meal for this price. The food can't be faulted but people will look elsewhere if prices climb. The lamb was beautifully cooked and very flavoursome. I didn't like the saute potatoes. Very soggy and not crisp like they should have been. The desserts were not very imaginative or varied and so I didn't order one. Ice cream sundae came as a whirl of ice cream with a coloured sauce at an inflated price.

My only complaint was that they refused to accept my £20 reward cheque claiming they were leaving the scheme. Hardly honest dealing.

They have really uped their game with the food and the new manager was great friendly and really helpful. Big portions and food was really tasty and fresh. Service was great and really fast. Was great to see that everything was homemade and fresh. Will deff be back soon, was really great. Five stars
