green quality gelato for a disappointment dinner we look for a place to have a beautiful dessert, and we saw the narrow Desse Square in burwood. gelatissimo has gone out, so we decided to go there as we enter her place, there was a lot of sort for ice and when I looked at my right, I saw what I wanted right away. I bought her green tea ice cream purple and it wasn't disappointed. it was not as strong as Matcha ice cr... View all feedback.
What Annabel Herzog doesn't like about Gelatissimo:
I didn't experience poor service as mentioned in another review. If anything the workers are young, err on the shy side and are polite.
I've noticed the portions the Burwood store serves are larger than other Gelatissimo stores I've visited in Sydney. View all feedback.
It was a Monday night and I went in to order the most expensive dessert called dead of chocolate for $22. it was one of the worst tasting gelatos I've ever tasted in my life. it was spread evenly with 2 drawers, some slags and wafers. it looked delicious, but it was exorbitant terrible in taste and just in a lot. After we told the manager about it, we had expected that they had made some changes to him and it was a bit more exciting and at least worth the money, but the manager was very rude and courageous for me. instead of following a basic customer service label and listening to me, he questioned my idea of taste and asked me to eat or lose it. he would not return my money...read more

I am still in shock on what i just experienced. The ice cream was decent but the service was the worst thing i've ever seen. There was three girls one filling the ice cream, one serving extremely slow and one walking around making jokes. They were falling over each other and having conversations about stupid things in front of customers. Not only were they slow they didn't acknowledge the waiting customers. I was considering asking to speak to management because of the disgusting service. I would never go back for that reason.
Gelatissimo in Burwood was where the wife and I use to go before all these amazing gelato places popped up over Sydney like Cow and Moon and Messina. In comparison the quality at Gelatissimo just does not compare. It’s too generic. They try and spruce things up with new flavours and other marketing gimmicks but it just isn’t as creamy and smooth like the others. Price wise it’s also quite similar to ones that you would get better quality for. I suppose it’s just convenience if you decide to eat here as it’s close to the cinemas and other eateries. Great place to stop off and treat the kids but as for yourselves I suggest going for a drive to get the good stuff. It’s located in...read more
The worst service we've ever had!!. We have been to many Gelatissimo stores over the years. The standouts being Manly, Darling Harbour and the Gold Coast. This one at Burwood this was by far the worst Firstly, the lady serving us was very stingy with her servings, and at the prices they charge- $7.70 for 3 scoops you do expect an indulgent serving of ice cream! Not the meager servings we received which were equivalent to almost a tablespoon of each flavour. Ridiculous Then, the lady serving us proceeded to micro manage and boss us, as well as constantly showering us with very personal questions about everyday things that were just none of her business like our ethnic...read more
