What Matthew Parker doesn't like about Chilli Drama Restaurant:
Food here are below average. Not much flavour and very oily. I understand that Sichuan cuisines are spicy & oily, but usually they are tasty too. But that's not the case at this restaurant. Special fried rice was very bland. The only ok dish was their signature Stone Pot Fish. Serving size for all dishes were very generous. View all feedback.

I ordered lunch special, yang chow fried rice but definitely miss the mark. Taste was a bit bland, Usually it comes with BBQ pork & prawn but only few prawns. Will I be back? Not sure !!!
You can't really miss this restaurant with the two full sized chinese drama costumes in a large display window out the front of the restaurant. We dined on a Saturday night, we arrived relatively early when the restaurant was very quiet although it became busy quite quickly and there were people waiting for seats by the time we left. Service was quite disappointing as the staff seemed to be too busy setting up tables than attending to the diners and it was almost impossible to catch the attention of any of the staff. Food was enjoyable, although not amazing. We had the Gangster Chicken which is a cold chicken dish in chilli sauce. The chicken was quite tender and the nutty sauce was quite unique. The stone pot fish was quite impressive to look at, we ordered it mild which was perfect. It's quite a large serving size, struggled to finish it with two people as there's also a generous serving of veggies and noodles in the pot as well. We struggled to avoid the peppercorns in the pot which left an unpleasant aftertaste in our mouths. We enjoyed the steamed and fried buns but really wish they had come after out mains as they were cold by the time we got around to these. Overall, we weren't overly impressed by the restaurant although judging by the popularity at the time of visit, it does have its fans.

Had the Barramundi Hot Pot accompanied by a cold dish of Chilli Chicken, mixed vegetables and steamed /fried buns. Generous serving, service was efficient and price was reasonable, two of us dined for under $50. Would recommend to chilli lovers.
