We’ve been here hundreds of times, and used to live in the village. Very pretty pub next to the brook with log fires in winter, great choice of drinks and a nice menu. I was very disappointed. The waiters advise us on arrival there were many things on the menu that they had already expired. We decided to stay and my partner ordered Filet Steak. After we finished our starters, the waiters came back to the table to clear our plates, to tell my partner that they had run out of Filet-Steak, and he had to choose something else from the already limited menu. We were seen to our table straight away we had booked it earlier in the week, good waitress all staff very attentive been here quite a few times and always been well pleased thank you.
We frequently dine at the Spread, but the food was not good this time.
Although my booking was confirmed by yourselves the restaurant was actually fully booked !
The pub provides excellent value with a diverse array of tasty dishes at reasonable prices.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. When we arrived, the waitstaff told us that many items on the menu were already sold out. Despite this, we stayed and my partner decided to order the filet steak. Unfortunately, after we had finished our starters, the waitstaff returned to tell us that they had also run out of filet steak. This was frustrating because they let us order and eat our starters before informing us that the main dish my partner wanted was no longer available. We paid for our starters and left without receiving our main courses. Overall, I was very disappointed and would not come back to this restaurant.
