Description

Nestled on Highway 70 in Dickson, this family-owned café offers a mix of experiences, garnering both praise and criticism. While some diners enjoyed its warm atmosphere and friendly service, particularly highlighting the homemade feel of traditional Southern dishes, others lamented inconsistent food quality and limited breakfast hours. Prices have drawn attention, with a perception of being a tad high for diner fare. Despite mixed reviews, many appreciate the café's charm and engaging ownership. It's a cozy spot for comfort food, making it a noteworthy stop for locals and visitors alike, although some may find better value and quality elsewhere.

This place is terrible. First time I went the eggs and sausage were over cooked to the point of being near inedible. Gave it a second chance. Terrible. They don 't serve breakfast past 11 am? How can you call yourself a cafe if you can 't scramble an egg on demand, or do it well. I ordered a coffee to go because I was disappointed. Tipped the girl at the front a few bucks, and the coffee was ice cold. Completely unacceptable. I will not be back. For the life of me I can not see why this place is consistently busy in the first place, or even still open. Pays to have friends in a small town I guess. This business is now located on Highway 70 in Dickson. It is located in the old High Point Restaurant location. They haven 't even removed the old. Don 't waste your money. Waffle House has better food.

Wonderful down home cooking, we stopped here because we were staying at nearby Montgomery Belle State Park. We were delighted to see a fried bologna sandwich on the menu. The owner is friendly and visited with us at our table. She is proud of her restaurant and loves what she does what a difference that makes.

My friend held her wedding reception here and it was great! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and the service they provided was wonderful. We LOVED the food! Thank you for all you did.

If you are in search of a quaint, family-owned cafe with delicious food and welcoming service, this is the place for you. My husband enjoyed a hearty, handmade burger with fries and all the toppings, while my two kids had grilled cheese with a side for only $2! I opted for a delicious grilled chicken salad. The total bill to feed our family of four was only around $15. We were served by the owner's grandson and son, and the owner even came out to chat with us personally. I highly recommend this place for an authentic cafe experience.

While visiting family in town, we had breakfast at Jennies. The service was excellent, very friendly, and the restaurant had a cozy small-town atmosphere. The food was deliciously traditional southern diner fare. I highly recommend trying the biscuits and gravy.
