Desi Turka Indian Cuisine - Burnaby

This is my go to place for Indian food and they are pretty generous with their servings. Their aloo gobi impresses everyone I share it with. I got meat eaters to love it. Their pakoras are also amazing. My mum usually doesn't like okra but loves the bhindi masala. I seriously can't recommend this place enough.

Quite dry chicken I felt a terrible disappointment following such intense biryani cravings. Despite the positive feedback I had heard, I was rather disappointed with this restaurant.

This used to be my favourite Indian food place but I find the quality has changed. I ordered medium-hot Lamb Rogan Josh and it didn't taste like it had any spice at all. The sauce was watery and the lamb was very chewy and fatty whereas in the past it was much more tender and enjoyable.

They have always followed the spice requests for our very different palates. One of us is as mild as possible, please , the other has cast iron insides and enjoys all the heat they get it perfect every time! The properly spiced food is consistently delicious. Do your taste buds a favour and order from Desi Turka.

Please don’t go by the reviews, it will definitely fool you. Would you go to a restaurant to eat frozen food? Waitress confirmed on using frozen food when asked about uncooked and cold meat. Batti de murg tasted like chicken desert, like they added a packet full of sugar. Naan was good though. Overall bad experience, won’t visit again and will not recommend anyone. Waste of time and money
