What User doesn't like about Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill:
No one at the front counter to greet us, waitress showed complete indifference, food was not up to Swiss Chalet expectations and the bill was not right. No wonder the place was so, so quiet on this supper time visit. View all feedback.
Waited 8 minutes to be served. Two waitresses kept moving around area but completely ignored us. Finally we got up to leave. We asked to speak to the manager but when she came out, she acted like she didn't care if we stayed or left. I asked for her name and the owner's and reluctantly she finally said hers was Stephanie and the owner was Paulos. She refused to write it down so I asked for pen and paper. She said,I can give you a crayon. This woman is a piece of work and if she is the best Swiss chalet can hire, then Swiss chalet brant st is not a place for us. A sidebar, the young hostess said she was so sorry and that she totally understood and wished us a good night. This particular Swiss chalet has terrible food, unclean, the window was caked in dirt, and very rude managers. Go to Nandos in the same plaza. Avoid this place. Not worth it.
Swiss Chalet is usually our go-to restaurant when we go out for dinner with our 3 children. We will not however, be returning to this Swiss Chalet. First off, we were seated a dirty table - the table-top had been cleaned, but the floor was littered with a used napkin and cutlery. We ordered our food and got it in a timely manner. I had ordered the Appetizer platter and upon eating a spring roll, found a long dark hair embedded into the crust. I placed it aside and tried another - same thing! I called the waitress over, who asked if I would like another order, but I was a little grossed out and couldn't stomach anymore. She said no worries and she would comp. my meal. We never saw her again until dessert time, where we had to kindly ask for our drinks to be refilled. My childrens meals were mediocre at best, with cold corn and tough ribs. My children ordered their desserts and I ordered a Sundae to share with my husband, because I was still quite hungry. When she returned with our desserts, she said our Sundae was on the house. We thanked her. We never got our finger bowls to wash are hands and my husband was supposed to get a bag of Swiss Chalet Chips with his meal - which was also forgotten. When we got our bill, my meal was not comped, all we got was the free sundae. We are not people to raise a fuss, so we paid our bill. Looking back I should have said something, but I was so disappointed with everything that I just wanted to get out.
Service very good. Chicken very good as usual. Ribs...kinda cold, kinda tough, not enough sauce. Hmmmm. I guess I'll stick to chicken.
Looked for a quiet evening after all the holiday rush. Service was not up to usual standard. The food was very slow coming out, we probably waited 25 minutes. Chicken was dry.
We went for lunch last week and had a poor experience. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a festive special dinner. Food was awesome. Service was not as good. Waitress left partway through our meal for her break and no one came after that to take care of us. We had to ask the hostess for our bill and when we left we realized we didn't get our chocolates...the best part! We just wonder if anyone else has had the same thing happen. It shouldn't and it spoiled our meal. We may have had a coffee mans dessert but it was apparent that no one was looking after us. Our dirty plates remained on the table. Just letting you know.
