This is our new favourite go-to place of Thai food in Burlington, after our usual place downtown let us down too many times. The atmosphere is cute, and the servers are very polite (sidenote: we often see people come for take-out as well, but we usually dine-in). We often order one of the curries (the red is my favourite so far!), pad thai, or chicken with cashews. The value any time of day is excellent, but their lu... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Siam Dish:
When we used to visit the Lakeshore location, the service and food were so consistent. At the new location, we have had extremely bitter, unripe mango salad and variation in the flavour and ingredients in dishes depending who cooks them. The service at the new location is slower and less attentive from the newer staff. We have experienced carelessness in food prep with allergy concerns, (even when we were assured it... We often order one of the curries (the red is my favourite so far!), pad thai, or chicken with cashews. The value any time of day is excellent, but their lunch special is not to be missed (soup, spring roll, and choice of entrée). One criticism is that sometimes the chicken with cashew has too much onion in comparison to the other vegetables. Still, we love it here!
Five of us were coming from different locations and decided on Siam Dish as a meeting place for a birthday, never having been there before. We enjoyed our meal. The décor is pretty and there were many little touches of artistic creativity in the presentation of the food. Portions were acceptable and priced reasonably for the area.
Siem Dish is our favourite Thai restaurant in South Burlington. Their Thai Noodle Soup is very similar to a Vietnamese pho dish (better than any pho we have found in Burlington). I would also strongly recommend their red curry - very authentic taste with strong portions at a reasonable price. You can often catch great deals on beer/wine during the week. Service is great - STRONGLY RECOMMEND
When we pulled up the restaurant was empty but we decided to go it. The food is amazing. Very fresh and wonderfully prepared. Our waitress (sorry forgot her name) explained everything and even customized the vegetables in our dishes. I will definitely be back. The flavors left you wanting more.
With Siam Dish you never know if the place will be packed or quiet -- this past Friday night it was very quiet, only 3 tables with people at 7pm. One server was kept very busy with take out orders/phone orders. Food is always delicious, arrives quickly. Green tea served in an actual tea pot with actual china cup & saucer. Nice touch!Green curry & rice, fresh rolls, and coconut soup with shrimp. Enough left over to take home! Lots of parking, no issues, great little restaurant.
