I'm the one person in our office who has not jumped on the California Sandwich train. I had heard great things about "On a Bun" so I stopped in today for lunch. Sandwiches are big, delicious and so fresh! Staff is incredibly friendly. Better than California sandwiches!
The sandwiches at On a Bun are very large and filling. I had the regular size sweet veal with mushrooms and cheese. It came with tomato sauce but just enough that the Kaiser bun it was served on was not soggy so your sandwich did not fall apart while you were eating it. I also had a side order of fries that were hot and very crispy. You order your food at the front counter then it is brought to your table once it is ready. The restaurant is not large and all the seating is tables with chairs and some tall bar style chairs and a ledge style counter along the one side. The restaurant is brightly lite and has a flat screen tv on the one wall. The service is excellent, very attentive and friendly and the owner went out of her way to make sure my dining experience was a pleasurable experience. I plan to return soon to try other menu items

The service was fantastic and the store is very nice and clean. I will be back.
Eggplant parmesan is the best! I recommend it with the homemade jalepeno sauce, mayo and a side of spicy olives! Mary Beth... You rock!
Stopped for an early bite after having read their grand opening story in The Post a few weeks back. Great, cheery, attentive service. Ordered a veal with mushrooms and a sausage+onion and cheese, and a side small olives. Picked medium spice level of the three offered, pretty mild - probably go with the hot next time. Veal was excellent, lots of tender meat, fresh and hot. Sausage was good, sausage itself was not as plentiful or flavourful as I hoped, but still good. Nice fresh buns, spicy olives were great - not too spicy! Very reasonable prices for quality/quantity of food. Wi-fi there if you need it! Will be back!!
