Kru Coffee - Burlington

Kru is just alright. The café is cute, sometimes bustling, with big windows and a nice atmosphere. Service is always pleasant! Their products are not the strongest. I've had 2 lattes recently where their milk has been burnt, their pastries are pretty mid compared to other options in town, and their chai blend is a disaster. Not bad enough for me to not go back, but just like... wish it were better. I have not had their donuts, maybe this is their strong suit? They also seem to have a 2-hour limit on their wifi which is perfectly fine but not clearly announced, so factor that in if you're going there to get work done – I got caught by surprise when my internet cut out and had to run around the block to finish my work elsewhere. Also, am I tripping or is it weird that businesses call themselves collectives when they're not actually workers' collectives? All in all I get why students like it but not sure it deserves the hype.

The iced matcha latte was good but it’s way too crowded here, I love that it’s doing well but it feels really cramped and there are rarely available seats.
