When they're on their game it is the BEST Chinese food I've found in the state, it seems as if there are two cooks and one is much better than the other, as quality varies quite a bit from night to night. General tsaos sauce and chicken are on point. Sweet, spicy and crispy! Most everyone in the state has started serving sour tasting mushy chicken. What User doesn't like about Hung Tao:
I say this with full sincerity, this meal (similar and brokkoli with white rice) was literally the only worst order of food I have ever received in my whole life. I'd rather have burned the $10 bill I spent with a lighter meal instead of knowing what I've experienced. I cannot understand how a restaurant can serve this food and think for itself “oh that is good”. I wish I could give negative stars. View all feedback.
Of all the Chinese places in Burlington I love Hung Tao best. They produce consistent yummy cheap meals that are always ready in a half hour or less.
I've eaten at a ton of Chinese restaurants all over, including major cities like New York and D.C., but I have to say that this is one of the best. Hands down the best. I can't believe I found a jem like this in Burlington, but I am glad I did.
Delicious food, I'm not sure what this Streim buddy is talking about.
The food was tasty, but you need to request seasoning and napkins. I was disappointed that there was no soy sauce, as I usually use 2-3 packets. The server was not generous with the spicy mustard, and the additional charge for fried rice instead of white rice was unreasonable. Despite these issues, I would return as there are limited options in the area.
The chicken noodle soup was awful. It was mostly watered-down noodles with just a few pieces of chicken. I was expecting vegetables, bean sprouts, and eggs but they were nowhere to be found. This was a major letdown.
