I've been driving past Genes for years on my way to TW. After a long day of business in town, I was in the mood for a quiet beer... TW caught my eye, and Genes looked inviting and calm. I decided to stop in, and to my delight, it was late afternoon on a midweek day with just a few patrons inside and at least one IPA on tap. I really liked the traditional bar setup, complete with shiny chrome stools and a shuffleboard. The term "dive bar" is often thrown around, but I'm happy to declare it as my favorite dive in Burlington. The bartender was friendly, and the other customers seemed to be enjoying a laid-back afternoon with their beers. I can imagine that it gets lively every Friday night, but for that quiet afternoon, it was just perfect!
It's a great spot to relax with friends and enjoy a cold drink.
Incredible experience! The service was fantastic, and the bartender was friendly. The bathrooms had the most delightful scent I've ever encountered. It’s a very comfortable spot to relax and hang out.
