This bakery is charming and affordable with quick service, even when they only have one employee working in the morning. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, but was disappointed that it wasn't made fresh to order - instead, they heated up a pre-made one from the display. However, the iced coffee was delicious, especially with the maple flavor - definitely recommend trying it out! View all feedback.
What Mittie Daniel doesn't like about Barrio Bakery:
I can't say this review is entirely accurate. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday and there were only two options available, so we chose one. The food did not look like the pictures in the reviews. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to a quick and delicious lunch. It seems like the restaurant may have changed owners, as the current appearance does not match the pictures from three years ago. View all feedback.
Croissants are great! Lattes are awesome. Alternative milk available. Excellent place!
Their baked goods are carried at Commodities Natural Market, which is where I was introduced. Hungry, I bought one of each: a cookie, a GF cookie, a croissant, a teacake, a muffin. They are probably the best-textured collection of baked goods I've ever had, if only because every one was excellent. Many bakeries specialize in one item. The texture of all of them was perfect. Not sticky, not oily, not dry, not clumpy, not fragile. Muffins don't shatter into crumbs. The cookies don't squish, but you also don't struggle to bite them. Everything seems moist but in a soft, delicate way. The flavors are subtle but noticeable, and there's enough fat that my primate brain is happy. That said, the employee was very blah and acted like she didn't want to be there, and prices are high. I reeeally like their products, but I'll buy them elsewhere if I can.
This is a neat place! Their croissants are to die for, I'd suggest you get this if you can!! I'd love to live in Binghamton and eat here more.
Delicious! Such a treat. Don't be fooled by the exterior.
This restaurant is a fantastic local gem. The pizza is delicious and fresh, the baked goods are tasty, and the atmosphere is laid-back. The only downside was paying $40 for a bottle of wine with dinner, only to discover that the same bottle was on sale for $7 at the city market. It was annoying, but not enough to ruin the overall experience. Overall, this is a wonderful, chill spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
