Contribute FeedbackRecent reviews of Straits have been mixed. While some praised the authentic flavors of the dishes, others were disappointed by small portion sizes and service issues. The restaurant's transition to a more casual tapas format received positive feedback, with highlights including the roti prata and garlic noodles. However, concerns were raised about the neglected condition of the bathrooms, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. Despite some positive comments on the food, former loyal customers lamented the changes in ownership and menu offerings. Overall, opinions on Straits vary, with some diners enjoying their experience while others recommended improvements be made.
Great flavors all the dishes we ordered tasted authentic. The portion sizes were very small for the price points. They should be a bit more generous so that when a family of people orders: appetizers and main dishes, and orders of coconut rice, leave feeling full, not still hungry.
Great food, great menu, great service, great location
Real singaporean tasting food in the bay area. Not Americanized taste
Food was not as good as last visit under alt ownership
Straits has changed to a more casual tapas format. The roti prata is by far the best thin and puffy typical roti that I've had are pancake thick. The garlic noodles were excellent. Honey walnut prawns and the BBQ chicken wings were good too. The lychee mule was yummy !The bar area should be expanded which would be more conducive to the new casual format. The benches and lighting are a bit sterile in the dining area
