Preston's Candy Ice Cream - Burlingame

Turn back the clock. 1968 Preston's donated gift certificates to the Cub Scouts. I was the lucky winner!! That was the best summer. Walk around the corner and get rock candy, or chocolate coins, all summer long. Best memories ever for an eight year old.

It never fails, whenever I drop by Preston's to cure my sweet tooth, I never want to leave. Something about being surrounded by the aroma of fresh, in-house baked chocolately treats is certainly hypnotic! The gummies, taffys and ice creams are so colorful and pleasing to the eye it makes me feel like a kid again in a candy wonderland! Needless to say, if you have a craving for sugar, get your fix at Preston's Ice Cream and Candies in Burlingame! Note: During Christmas season, They have a huge assortment of Peanut Brittles, Barks and Caramel/Chocolate gift sets for X-mas. Their Ice Creams are so soft and flavorful..

The candy here is made in-house, and it's all delicious! I attended a tour where the owner took us back for tastings and an overview of the candy making process. The marshmallow based candy is some of my favorite, but there's always new candy types coming out for each holiday and season. Hershey's and other big companies can't compare to a small team that really cares about their products!

The ice cream is soooo good, sweet, creamy and homemade. It's been in the community for decades!!

We ordered ice cream here. It tasted good but the place is just sadly disorderly. We understand it is run by a family with grandmother still serving. But the employees or kids who helped out should put an order of things and clean up to refresh the place.
