I just love the Acai bowls here. Always fresh and delicious.Parking: It's a small strip so the parking is not very good. They have designated spots for their store, but no one pays attention to it. View all feedback.
What Diana H doesn't like about Ubatuba Acai Thousand Oaks:
Staff A This empanada tho. I don't know if they were just old today or what. It's extra crispy and the filling is stuck together. I've had one before at another location and it was yummy so I was excited. This missed the mark and for $6 for one it should be on point. But again the staff were great. View all feedback.
Smoothie bowls were exactly what we needed for our road trip ahead. I make smoothie bowls every morning and this place blew mine out of the water. I got some great inspiration to their toppings. You start with a base, I did matcha and pitaya, they add fruit: I had blueberries and strawberries with chia seed pudding, and add your toppings: bee pollen, ground flax, granola. And they have a wide range of empeñadas with hot sauce. So good and so satisfying.
Yummy! Love this place! Been here like twice and those two times have been pleasant. Servers are very nice and sweet. First time there I was served by Tom and second time I was served by Sophia--both had great attitudes! My acai bowls were always yummy and full of great flavors and toppings. Will be back (but maybe not this week).
Ross, Amanda, and Laura greeted me with positive vibes. ??The Acai bowl is delicious!!They offer as many toppings as you desire for no additional cost.
Happy to say this Ubatuba is in walking distance from my place. I like to go on the weekends for a late breakfast/brunch. They have build-your-own bowls. And the açai mix they use is really good. I think they mix banana in there too. You can get all sorts of lovely breakfast toppings like granola, overnight oats, or chia pudding. And there's lots of fruit: mango, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, etc. Besides fruit I like to put almond butter, flax meal, and chocolate chips on mine. They have 3 sizes to choose from, but the smallest is usually enough for me. Service here is pretty good. They've never been busy when I've gone because most people take their bowl to-go. They do have some seating though but it's not really an atmospheric place if you know what I mean.Their empanadas are also pretty good, but it depends on the flavor. Right now, I've only tried the vegan ones and my favorite is the chik'n jalapeño followed by the regular Beyond one. Just make sure to double check the ones they gave you. They have the name printed on the outside of the empanada. I don't eat fully vegan but I was given a meat-containing one on accident before, so check your flavor before you leave! In terms of price, I would say they are a little pricey for what they offer: the smallest sized bowl is 9.50 at this location, which seems a little ridic. Also the empanadas are 5.75, which is also .50 more than other locations. World Empanadas is only like 2-3 miles away and theirs are only 4.40 (and have better flavors with healthier ingredients). So that's part of why I took off a star.Overall though, the açai is tasty and the empanadas are pretty good, but either has to be a special treat and not a regular purchase because of the pricing.
Cool place, I advise everyone, I love matcha boba tea, I can drink it every day!be sure to visit this place!
