The New Deal - Burbank

This place should be packed for brunch. Food was fresh, coffee was great and the service was wonderful. We had the biscuits and gravy (and yes, that’s a little bit of sweet cream they add on top of the gravy, it was a delicious idea), highly recommend you stop in for brunch. Loved it!!!Food: 5/5

Kid-friendliness: The kids' menu features a veggie burger option, among others. I was concerned that the atmosphere might not be accommodating for children, but the staff and other guests were very welcoming, despite the elegant setting.

Nice cut old timey place to go to dinner. However the food was lacking. The tostada tasted sour, the wings were kinda dry with a whole bunch of buffalo sauce sitting on the bottom of the plate. I guess they weren't tossed probably. The Mac-n-cheese was kinda tasteless. While the service was good, the only other item that was good was the pilsner. Also, the prices look to be on the cheaper side, but the quantity and quality of food was not on par. Maybe we just didn't order the right stuff, but a $100 dinner for three of us was not worth it.

As for vegetarian options, there were plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices available. As vegetarians ourselves, we had such a variety that we found it a bit difficult to decide what to order. Everything we tried was great!

I highly recommend the short rib sandwich—it's absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, the restaurant wasn't too crowded, and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed. The food was outstanding! Food: 5/5.
