Tasty sushi and lovely staff. Ordered Sexy Roll (top) and Hawaiian Roll. Fast service.
Excellent! We have not been here for 2 years because we've been living on the east coast. We used to live right down the street from Sushi Dake and would walk there quite often. We were visiting in the area and of course we had to stop in! Everything is absolutely delicious. Super friendly staff and it felt so good to be greeted by friendly faces. We had dinner atSushi Dake twice before we left and we will be back again on our next visit! Amazing! Thank you!
This is a fantastic restaurant! The staff was friendly and very accommodating to my family, who aren’t fans of sushi. Although they primarily focus on sushi, the quality is excellent. Plus, it’s quite affordable. The atmosphere is exactly how sushi should be enjoyed!
So good, feels like family, top notch chefs hidden away in Burbank, low key , comfy. omakase, never disappoints
Dake offers a fantastic variety of high-quality sushi, and the service is exceptional. We’ve recommended it to countless friends, and they have all been delighted. The restaurant is owned by Michael and Diana, who are both wonderful. Diana is one of the kindest people I know; she’s always welcoming and impressively remembers everyone’s names. Michael is a bit more reserved until he gets to know you, but he’s equally fantastic and is always experimenting with new rolls. His latest creation includes mango, salmon, avocado, and possibly tuna. I found it really delicious, and I'm generally not a fan of mango. I absolutely adore the Oishi roll; it's among the best I’ve ever had—crisp and incredibly tasty! The Diana Roll is a great option if you're undecided; it features six or eight different types of individual sushi rolls, including smelt eggs, salmon roe, spicy tuna, yellowtail, tuna, and more. If you're in the mood for a salad, their sashimi salad is excellent too. They also have a wonderful selection of beer and sake. Tony, the head chef who has been there for about a year, is very open to trying new ideas. Just be mindful not to overwhelm him when the restaurant is busy. I witnessed someone sit at the sushi bar when there was a wait and ask Tony for several complicated rolls, only to complain about the waiting time afterward. Really? Can you not see that there are only two sushi chefs and about thirty people ahead of you? Just sit back, relax, and enjoy some sake. If you enjoy sushi in a fun, unpretentious atmosphere with genuine people and excellent food, Dake is the place for you! My husband and I absolutely love it!
