Super cute boutique hotel. Has Valet parking and in a residential area there’s parking in the residential space but the Valet was very friendly. Front Desk staff was nice and professional. Pool area a bit small but nice seating space. Lobby Restaurant food was great. But the lady at the Lobby bar had an attitude like she just wasn’t very personable. A little rude demeanor. But all in all it was a nice hotel. Room dec... View all feedback.
What Jacqui Madders doesn't like about Amarano Burbank:
I have complained repeatedly, receiving inadequate response. The place stank due to work on the drains”! The loo blocked itself twice! The service was charming but negligent. No toiletries. No plate, no cutlery, constant. Room cleaned twice for entire stay. Cleaning, when done was excellent. The place is clean. Lack of coffee choice for boutique standard. Lots to improve on. Overpriced. Had to ask for a bath robe! View all feedback.
From the valets who remember my name to the front desk staff who do the same, and to Harvey, Norm, and Ellen at the bar, everyone at Amarano makes you feel like an old friend. I really appreciate that the valet always has my car ready and waiting for me in the morning. Amarano truly feels like home.
This is a fantastic 4-star hotel. They offer valet parking, and the rooms are quite nice. The swimming pool is always empty, which is a definite bonus. Whenever I stay here, I enjoy walking to the nearby restaurants and shops. I've stayed in both the junior suite and the king room; they are quite similar, with just a difference in size. The staff is friendly, but the complimentary breakfast is pretty limited.
I rented two rooms: one by the pool, which seemed acceptable, though I didn’t stay in that one. The room I occupied on the second floor was not terrible but had obviously not been vacuumed properly. There were crumbs, dust, and hair between the mattress and box spring, and the carpet between the beds was similarly unclean. I reported this to reception, and they quickly sent someone to address the issue, but nothing was resolved. Additionally, the furniture shows signs of wear, with dents here and there, and while that can be overlooked, there are also stains from coffee or something else that were quite off-putting. The bathroom was in the same condition. Overall, don’t expect the hotel to match the images on its website, which have clearly benefited from some good filters.
Everything about this 1930s glam hotel was fabulous! I got an unexpected upgrade to a junior suite, which was akin to a spacious one-bedroom apartment. Very friendly staff, continental breakfast included, and reasonably priced. A new fan!
