The first room we were assigned had o... read more I am sorry to say that I do not have a high opinion of this hotel. The hallways are dark and cramped, like rabbit tunnels. The first room we were assigned had only one window, which overlooked a loud industrial extractor fan with no other view. The second room we were given was improved, with a modern look and a sea view, but there was no privacy from the promenade unless the curtains were completely closed. I find it difficult to believe that this hotel is rated four stars.

Food was excellent, great value for money and service was extremely fast for our large group of 17 diners. We had not booked in advance, and our arrival of such a large group was handled efficiently, professionally and we were made to feel most welcome. A worthy alternative to The Bridge Bar, where we would normally dine over Christmas while at home in Fermanagh/Donegal visiting relatives. Well done!

The hotel was beautiful... read more Allingham Arms is perfectly located off the main road entering Bundoran. Plenty of parking at the side and around the back of the hotel. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas which gave an amazing backdrop for taking beautiful photos. The front desk staff were very friendly and very informative giving us great advice for our night out. We stopped by all recommended hotspots and had a fabulous evening in town. There is a fabulous bar and restaurant for enjoying a few drinks to start your night off right. The room was clean, quiet and had all of the usual amenities you would expect. Fabulous pubs, clubs and the necessary late night food options were all within walking distance from the hotel. The front desk arranged a taxi for us as we were wearing heels yet walked back. We had planned our night which would allow us to be close enough to do so. We will definitely return soon! So put the Allingham Arms Hotel on your list when thinking of heading to Bundoran. A big thanks to all of the wonderful staff who made our visit spectacular!!
