so many things I would have liked to try from this menu. coffee was looking at point meal times and taste amazing, though they were one and a little cool I would come back to any case. lively little place, but much to see and talk while they wait. very nice staff too. thanks for a great experience. I ordered the veggie breakfast bowl, my partner had the burger, and my friend opted for the salad. To be honest, all three dishes had virtually the same ingredients. The salad was essentially a deconstructed version of the burger, minus the bun, while the sweet breakfast was made with the same components as the burger, just presented differently with a pumpkin quinoa patty and some beans on the side. I've stayed in Bundaberg a few times for work and this time I tried Oodies for breakfast. I had granola with yoghurt and a piccolo coffee. They didn't actually have granola listed on the menu, but I asked and they said they do it so...More
Whenever I'm In Bundaberg I make sure I go to Oodies. It starts with the big welcome you get as you enter, then the happy vibrant atmosphere leads you in. There is so much to look at and I'm not even talking about the menu yet. The service is always good and friendly, the meals have the wow factor and the coffee is perfect every cup. A must to visit
We were in Bundaberg to check out the Bundaberg Rum distillery and see what the fuss was all about. We left there a bit underwhelmed. Anyway, time for lunch. Found this place on Tripadvisor. It is a bit tucked away on a busy semi busy street corner. As soon as we walked in we felt like we were back in the inner hipster suburbs of Melbourne. Uber cool indeed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was sensational. We had the Chicken, chorizo and chickpea salad, the chicken quinoa (very hipster) salad, and some veggie burger. All were sensational and a great size. The whole place is very relaxed and the staff made it feel and though nothing was too much trouble. We could have stayed all afternoon.
They do a great job of accommodating vegan ingredients, which is impressive. My only disappointing experience was a few days ago when I had to settle for a gluten-free bun for my burger, and unfortunately, it turned out to be quite bland. The small serving of hot chips was excellent, though. My beagles enjoyed most of the burger, which they loved. This is an update from my previous review on February 14, 2023.
Have only had the breakfast option here but it was very good! Came with a cashew mustard sauce which was a nice touch! Staff super friendly, I don't think they get many vegan requests but they're happy to check and advise for you (isn't labelled vegan on menu). There are very limited options, only one breakfast, and one lunch option. Nothing in cake cabinet. Considering the lack of vegan choices in Bundaberg it is nice they have put in effort to cater for vegans with a well thought out and tasty vegan breakfast. Delicious coffee too oat latte!
