We took spontaneus the restaurant after the beach in the evening. we were a group of ten people, 4 childs and 6 adults. we said before the table was arranged. we got a big great menu card with many meals on it and the hint that there is today no pizza. we ordered lomb and risotto instead for our family...the answer was no...ravioli and salat da nicolo we finally ordered wih patata for the children. salat da nicolo was very very basic. the raviolis were only ok. and the patatas were fried ok. the others of our group took fish plates and auster in different styles, but dislike. when the sunset was going down the service team went out and took pictures instead of serving other table's they were searching for paying. the service all in all was friendly, the location direct on the beach great especially at sunset, but the missing items of the menue( no pizza and others-maybe because of low season) and at the end the price for what you get was not in relation. Especially the cuperto of 2,50 euro for the 4 children (2 babys) and 4 and 6. we also did not get the offer after the meal for desert or coffee...payed of course. In this case i cannot recommend for food. maybe it is good to take an ice cream in the season.
We were in Buggerru for my wife to connect with her grandfather's roots. In the late 1800's the area was a center of mining. Today, the sleepy little town has a nice beach and very friendly locals. The trip there is a twisting, switch-back drive, but beautiful. The Ristorante San Nicolo is the perfect place to enjoy the natural wonders of the mountains and beach. Setting on the terrace, with good wine, pasta, and incredible scenery will long be a great memory. The San Nicolo's owner was especially attentive, and took down my wife's family information to see if he could find out more for her. Don't miss the photos mounted around the inside walls that show the mining operations, and hardships, of the past.
