In recent weeks, this establishment has garnered dismal feedback from guests who lament both hygiene and quality. Reports of finding foreign objects like a fingernail in meals have surfaced, alongside complaints of unappetizing, poorly prepared dishes—such as dry, chewy chicken and bland vegetables. The atmosphere has been described as uninviting, with diners observing untidy conditions and an overall lack of cleanliness. Although one staff member stood out with commendable service, the overall experience led many to vow never to return. Patrons are advised to seek alternatives for a more pleasant dining experience.
This location is operated by children. There's never enough ingredients left. Very little chicken was left, little rice, no guacamole. This was not at the end of the day. No cucumbers. 3 different occasions and same results. My third trip here. It's 1140 am and not enough options out to choose from. Store says 11am open.
About two months ago I was halfway through my meal and I bit into a fingernail, which is 1000x worse than finding a hair in your meal. They didn’t want to refund me, but offered to remake my order(eww no thanks). Tonight we ran out of options so I placed an order for pickup. The spicy chicken was dry and chewy, the veggies were cut into big chunks, and it wasn’t very flavorful. I used to love this place, I gave it a second chance and will not return.
Well, this review is based on two separate trips to this restaurant. The main problem is this location seems to be operated by children. (meaning 18 to 20 yrs old). We ordered and paid online on these two occasions and both times the order was incorrect and missing items. Unfortunately the first time we bought it home before opening the order. On the second occasion, I checked the order in the parking lot. It was missing an item. I returned to the store to get the item. The kid behind the counter then proceeded to tell me he had put it the bag himself, yet it was not in there. Will not be returning unless changes are made.
The only reason this review deserves 1 star is because Nathan saved the day with his excellent recovery in customer service. However, this was an experience that would have resulted in me never coming back to this location again. To start off the foodwas served in very small portions compared to other locations I go to at least once a week. Secondly, this location is obviouslystruggling because we were the only customers in the restaurant, and not to mention the ?establishment? was filthy. With allthis being said, we still chose to come in and try it out until our intuition was correct. To the management, Ms. Morgan thatwas working on 8/29/22 at 5pm left me and my family in shock with how utterly rude she was after her up charging was questioned.She proceeded to say ? I don?t care, it?s not my problem if you can?t afford it then don?t get it.? As we walked away from theheated conversation to sit down my mother opened her box of food to find her quesadilla burned. She went back to ask for it tobe remade, Morgan refused arguing it wasn?t burnt, and because she was ?yelled? at she would not be remaking it. As I asked fora manager, she stated she was left in charge, even though Morgan fled to the back of the restaurant. That?s when Nathan, who isan outstanding human being, came to our rescue. He apologized over and over. He remade it with no questions asked, and smoothedeverything over concerning the mess his coworker left. Customer service and making your guest feel welcome is a major part ofrunning a business in the food industry. The environment of this location?. I don?t see it lasting much longer. I hope you canfind some people who are actually happy to help they?re customers, and understand how to run a manager absent location.
Highly disappointing! This is a long review, but I think the context is important here and I really would love to see a change. I have been a loyal Barberitos customer since I first went to one in 2009 when I moved to a location that had one. This onlyincreased when it turned out that my young child LOVES Barberitos- literal favorite place to eat. As a result, I have plannedtrip routes on vacations to include a stop at Barberitos to make sure my child gets a special treat and will eat well. TheHamilton Mill Barberitos has never been a stellar location- in fact, I had to apologize to a 4-year-old that we weren't drivingfurther out to go to his favorite location this time- but today was the worst. There wasn't enough cheese left to make onequesadilla, so, instead of getting more, the employee making the food stretched it onto the two LARGE quesadillas we ordered. They have always been stingy with meat portions here, but, spread out, there was just enough meat to cover half of thequesadilla. Even with the vegetables, I ended up with entire bites across the quesadilla that was just cheese, or even justtortilla. I got to the salsa and found that the container was empty except for what was essentially tomato juice dregs that Iwas able to spoon up off the bottom. Three employees couldn't manage to ensure this didn't run out? Also, when I tried to getdrinks, I found half of those in the soda fountain had no syrup. The employees seem nice enough, here, but also always seemdisinterested and bored. Idk if the problem is them, management, or what, but this has been true across multiplevisits. Barberitos is one of my favorite places to go eat at overall, and rises far above its competition when done right. Theexperience at this location has been lackluster, to say the least. The only reason I left two stars instead of one is that thefood, despite the relatively tiny portions and not being quite as tasty as other locations, was still at least good and
