We were passing through Buffalo spending the night at the KOA on our way to Montana. Asked the Camp Host about a good place to eat and he said go to the Cattle Guard, it's where all of th cars are parked. This is a local Gem. Great food at a good price and Cheyenne sling some craft made cocktails. Would recommend this spot to any hungry traveler. Steaks were amazing. View all feedback.
What Nunya B doesn't like about Winchester Steak House:
Nice looking place when you walk in but the food is undesirable especially for how much it cost. We had the sirloin and chicken fried steak. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but came out to be medium well in most areas because the cut looked like a baseball. It was so dry that steak sauce couldn't salvage it. My chicken fried steak appeared to be hand made from scratch but was tough to chew. I don't know if i... View all feedback.
My experience has always been FANTASTIC AT THE WINCHESTER here in Buffalo wy the food is great and service is super
Their steaks were cooked just right and the waitresses were quick to things than km you for the food
We were passing through town on a Friday night, just 30 minutes before closing time. Despite our late arrival, the staff at the restaurant assured us that we were welcome to take our time and enjoy our meal. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The food was served promptly and was absolutely gourmet. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs, which were so delicious that there was nothing left on my plate but bones. The squash casserole on the side was a delightful surprise and the perfect accompaniment to my meal. I had never tasted anything like it before and now I can't wait to have more. If you're in town, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for a meal - it's definitely worth a visit.
This is a stop for us every year when we go to sturgis. We ride 200 miles just for the filet. Stopped again this year, service is great, friendly and respectful. It's typically crowded but not loud
I don't know if it's the breading they used or possibly overcooking it but I couldn't even finish it. The thing that gets me is when you advertise handmade chicken fried steak the gravy should be also but it was just re-constituted packaged gravy. Our service was great, the food was not.
